Who We Are

Helping Salty Kids Build Strong Foundations for Life

Mobile Pediatric Occupational Therapy supporting sensory regulation, developmental skills, and school readiness.

At Salty Kids Therapy, we provide personalized, play-based occupational therapy services designed to help children grow, regulate, and thrive. We partner closely with families to support each child’s unique developmental journey in a warm and supportive environment. Therapy services are delivered to the child in their natural environment such as the home, school, daycare, or out in the community.

Whether your child is experiencing sensory challenges, fine motor delays, feeding challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, or developmental concerns, we are here to help build strong foundations through evidence-based, compassionate care.

We chose private pay intentionally, because the way we work matters just as much as the work itself. No insurance constraints means a smaller caseload, more unrushed time with your family, and therapy built around the child - not a coverage policy. No authorizations, no cookie-cutter goals, just thoughtful, individualized therapy.

Meet Julia Fina, OTR/L

Hi! My name is Julia Fina, and I am a licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping children reach their fullest potential.

I have experience across multiple settings including home health, outpatient clinics, schools, assisted livings, and memory care buildings. While I have worked with individuals across the lifespan, my heart has always been in pediatrics and early intervention.

With over three years of clinical experience, I specialize in supporting children ages 0–10 years in areas such as sensory processing, school-readiness, emotional regulation, feeding challenges, fine motor development, and daily living skills.

My mission is simple:
To help children thrive and make life a little easier for parents along the way.

Outside of therapy, I love spending time with my husband Brad and our Frenchie, Lola — whether we’re at the beach, traveling, on the water, golfing, playing pickleball, or baking a sweet treat.

Explore our services

Every child is different. Every plan we build reflects that.

At Salty Kids Therapy, we offer two ways to work together: traditional ongoing therapy or a focused program approach with a specific goal and timeline. Both begin with understanding your child first.

Traditional Ongoing Therapy:

Free Consultation and Screening

The best first step, and it costs nothing. Not sure if your child needs OT? Start here. We will spend 15-20 minutes together by phone, talking through your concerns and helping you figure out if a full evaluation makes sense. No pressure, or commitment.

Comprehensive Evaluation

$250 for 60 to 90 minutes - in your home, daycare, or school. Before anything else, we need to understand your child. Our evaluation looks at sensory processing, motor skills, emotional regulation, feeding, self-care, and developmental milestones, in the environment where your child actually lives their life. From there, we build a plan that’s specific to them.

Individual Therapy Sessions

$150 for 60 minutes - ongoing, flexible scheduling. Play-based, one-on-one therapy delivered where your child feels most comfortable. Sessions are built around your child’s current goals and adjust as they grow. We keep you involved every step of the way, because what happens between sessions matters just as much as the sessions itself.

Focused Programs + Telehealth Consultation Sessions

Find Your Calm

8 weeks - $1,350. For the kid who feels everything too intensely, shuts down, or can’t seem to get regulated. We spend eight weeks building real, lasting strategies for you child in sessions, and for you at home. You’ll leave this program with a toolkit, not just a report.

Little Movers (Infants & Toddlers)

8 weeks - $1,350. For babies and toddlers whose early milestones have you wondering. We focus on motor development, sensory foundation, tummy time, and feeding. We coach you so you know exactly how to support your child between visits.

Kindergarten Ready (School Readiness)

8 weeks - $1,350. For rising PreK and Kindergarteners who need a confidence boost before the school year starts. Pencil grip, scissors, attention, following directions, self-care - the building blocks that make that first day feel manageable.

Parent Consultation - Telehealth

$75 per session - Anyone located in Florida. Our telehealth consultations are designed for parents who have questions, concerns, or specific challenges they’re navigating and want expert guidance without a long-term commitment. Topics might include sensory strategies at home, mealtime struggles, school accommodations, behavior concerns, or milestone questions.

FAQ

Do you accept insurance?
At this time, Salty Kids Therapy operates as a private-pay practice. We are however, a provider with Step Up for Students and accept payment through the unique abilities scholarship fund.

Upon request, we provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement. While we do not bill insurance directly, many families are able to receive partial reimbursement depending on their plan. We recommend contacting your insurance company to confirm coverage for out-of-network pediatric occupational therapy services.

What ages do you serve?
Children ages 0–10.

How do I know if my child needs OT?
If you notice sensory sensitivities, difficulty with fine motor skills, emotional regulation challenges, picky eating, or developmental delays, a free screening can help determine next steps.

What happens after the evaluation?
If therapy is recommended, we will create an individualized treatment plan tailored to your child’s goal.

What is the referral process?
We accept referrals from pediatricians as well as self-referrals from parents and caregivers. Our free consultation can help you determine if our services would be a good fit for your child.
